Synopsis

We are proud of the fact that our apps do not collect, store, share or sell any data about you or your phone. Nor does it connect with Facebook or any social networks. It does not display advertising. There is nothing to share or sell to third party advertisers, marketers or anyone. There are no in-app purchases. The website that displays this page uses Google Analytics to measure traffic. None of this data is shared with or sold to anyone, not even the ubiquitous catch-all “third parties.” We welcome feedback at apps.astonishinc@gmail.com.

Full App Privacy Policy

The following is mostly about the details of what we do not do.

Astonish Inc. (“we,” “us,” “our” or “my”) respects the privacy of our users (“user” or “you”). Because the app does not collect any info, the Privacy Policy is mostly about explaining the ways we avoid the collection, use, disclosure, and need to safeguard your infor>mation when you visit our mobile application (the “App”) -- it points ways apps commonly collect and sell your info. The book “The Age of Surveillance Capitalism” (https://amzn.to/3BlshqH) by Harvard professor Shoshana Zuboff, changed my perspective. Note that this is an affiliate link for which we could possibly receive a small commission if you click and buy from Amazon. It is an informative book and also available at many local libraries.

This Privacy Policy does not apply to the Google Play Store where you installed the App. We have no insight into or control over Google’s policies or data collection.

COLLECTION OF YOUR INFORMATION
We DO NOT collect information about you. Apps typically collect info such as the that listed below.

Personal Data
None collected. Zero demographic and other personally identifiable information is asked for or collected (such as your name and email address). If you email us with feedback or requests, your email address will not be shared with anyone or anywhere.

Derivative Data
None collected. The App runs solely on the device and no servers are accessed.

Financial Data
None collected. Zero financial information is requested or collected. No credit card, banking, etc.

Facebook Permissions
No access to your Facebook account. This is in bold because did you know that many apps by default access your Facebook basic account information, including your name, email, gender, birthday, current city, and profile picture URL, as well as other information that you choose to make public? We consider this evil and do not do it.

Data From Other Social Networks
Did you know that when you connect an app to a social networking site, your personal information from the social networking site, including your name, your social network username, location, gender, birth date, email address, profile picture, and public data for contacts can be shared? Wait. There’s more. This information may also include the contact information of anyone you invite to use and/or join the App. Not us.

Geo-Location Information
None collected. This App does not request access or permission to or track location-based information from your mobile device. Not continuously or while you are using the App as some apps do.

Mobile Device Access
No Special Permissions. This App does not use location data, use Bluetooth or need any special permissions.

Mobile Device Data
None. This App does NOT collect device information. Just so you know, some apps collect your mobile device ID number, model, and manufacturer, version of your operating system, phone number, country, location, and any other data you choose to provide. We do not.

Push Notifications
None. Push notifications can be cool. They are irrelevant to this App and not used.

Third-Party Data
None. This App does NOT connect to any third parties. There is nothing to collect or share.

Data From Contests, Giveaways, and Surveys
None. This is irrelevant to this App. Did you know, however, that personal and other information you provide when entering contests or giveaways and/or responding to surveys is shared?

USE OF YOUR INFORMATION
The App collects no info about you or your device. For feedback, suggestions and issues, please get in touch at apps.astonishinc@gmail.com. Your email address and email content will not be shared or sold.

DISCLOSURE OF YOUR INFORMATION
We do NOT collect any info and have nothing to disclose, share or sell. This is a simple clock App made by a team of one person. There is nothing to share with respect with law, legal processes, and third-party service providers such as the following that we found when reviewing other app privacy policies.

Third-Party Advertisers
None. We do NOT have ads and there are zero third-party advertising companies for this App. Did you know that these companies may use information about your visits to the App and other websites that are contained in web cookies in order to provide advertisements about goods and services of interest to you? Not us.

Affiliates
None. There are no affiliates we share data with. Other companies do.

Business Partners
None. We do NOT share your information with any business partners in order to “offer” you certain products, services or promotions.

Offer Wall
Not this App. For your info, some apps display a third-party-hosted “offer wall.” Such an offer wall allows third-party advertisers to offer virtual currency, gifts, or other items to users in return for acceptance and completion of an advertisement offer. Such an offer wall may appear in the App and be displayed to you based on certain data, such as your geographic area or demographic information. When you click on an offer wall, you will leave the App. A unique identifier, such as your user ID, will be shared with the offer wall provider in order to prevent fraud and properly credit your account.

Social Media Contacts
None. Did you know when you connect an app through a social network, your contacts on the social network can see your name, profile photo, and descriptions of your activity? Not in this app.

Other Third Parties
No sharing. From the boilerplate privacy policy, there is a section that states apps “share your information with advertisers and investors for the purpose of conducting general business analysis. We may also share your information with such third parties for marketing purposes, as permitted by law.” We do not.

Sale or Bankruptcy
When companies reorganize or sell all or a portion of their assets, undergo a merger, or are acquired by another entity, they generally transfer your information to the successor entity. When companies cease business or enter bankruptcy, your information would be an asset transferred or acquired by a third party. When such transfers occur, the transferee may decline honor commitments we made in this Privacy Policy.

TRACKING TECHNOLOGIES

Cookies and Web Beacons
This App uses no cookies, web beacons, tracking pixels, and other tracking technologies.

Internet-Based Advertising
This App is ad-free.

THIRD-PARTY WEBSITES
The App does NOT contain links to third-party websites or application, including advertisements and external services, that are not affiliated with us.

SECURITY OF YOUR INFORMATION
The App collects no info, personal or otherwise.

POLICY FOR CHILDREN
We do not solicit information from or market to children under the age of 13. Nonetheless, this App is safe for all ages.

CALIFORNIA PRIVACY RIGHTS
No info is collected or shared. California Civil Code Section 1798.83, also known as the “Shine The Light” law, permits our users who are California residents to request and obtain from us, once a year and free of charge, information about categories of personal information (if any) we disclosed to third parties for direct marketing purposes and the names and addresses of all third parties with which we shared personal information in the immediately preceding calendar year. If you are a California resident and would like to make such a request, please submit your request in writing to us using the contact information provided below. Email or snail mail. Your choice.

There is also a provision if you are under 18 years of age, reside in California, and have a registered account with the App, you have the right to request removal of unwanted data that you publicly post on the App. This app has no registered accounts. Thus there is nothing to request removal of or any data. You are welcome to contact us using the contact information provided below.
